❃ Sacabambaspis ist ein prähistorischer Kieferloser, der für seinen markanten, knöchernen Kopfschild und seinen länglichen, abgeflachten Körper bekannt ist. Dieser Urfisch, der vor über 460 Millionen Jahren lebte, hatte einen mit Schutzplatten bedeckten Körper, der an die frühen Stadien der Wirbeltierentwicklung erinnert und die Anpassungsmerkmale des frühen Wasserlebens aufweist.
❃ Der etwa 20 cm lange Sacabambaspis glitt mit langsamen, bedächtigen Bewegungen durch die Urmeere. Wie andere Kieferlose seiner Zeit besaß er weder Zähne noch Kiefer und ernährte sich, indem er kleine Partikel und Plankton aus dem Wasser filterte. Sein Körper war stromlinienförmig und ermöglichte ruhiges, gleichmäßiges Schwimmen, wodurch er sich gut an die sanfte Strömung prähistorischer Gewässer anpasste.
❃ Als eines der frühesten bekannten Wirbeltiere spielt Sacabambaspis eine wichtige Rolle in der Erforschung der Wirbeltier-Evolution. Sein Knochenpanzer bot Schutz vor Raubtieren und stellt eine frühe evolutionäre Anpassung dar, die auch bei späteren Meeresarten zu beobachten ist.

I got this lil guy for my partner's birthday. Can thoroughly say it was a success!! High quality, and goofy design makes him feel extra special. His mouth is also kinda like a pocket, my partner keeps their lip balm in it sometimes lmao.

I flipping love this lil goober so much! I love it's stupid face so MUCH 😭 Ever since these guys got popular online I've always wanted a plush of one and now I have him! I love how this company keeps things realistic but still a cute cartoon charm so that it feels like a stuffed animal and not just realistic replicas for science. I’ve never been so excited for a plushie to arrive. He fits perfectly in my bean bag and his little face is the best thing ever. The production quality is quite good! An interesting detail is that, if you move it side to side, the plush is stiffened perfectly to make a realistic swimming motion! Extremely cute too, and he has beans in his belly but not his back which makes me feel like he ate sand.

I had this plush buddy sent to a little friend, about 10 years old. His mom said he immediately named his new friend Gilby.
