❃ Trilobitter er en gruppe av utdødde marine leddyr som utgjør en av de tidligste kjente dyregruppene. De dukket først opp i den kambriske perioden, for rundt 541 millioner år siden, og ble noen av de mest vellykkede og mangfoldige dyrene i paleozoikumtiden.
❃ De var blant de første dyrene som utviklet harde skjell som et middel til beskyttelse, og deres strømlinjeformede kropper ville ha tillatt dem å bevege seg relativt raskt gjennom vannet. Selv om de var rovdyr, ble trilobitter også byttedyr for andre dyr, som fisk og tidlige amfibier.
❃ De er spesielt kjent for sin karakteristiske tre-flikete kroppsform, som ga dem navnet. Dette er imidlertid ikke den eneste kroppsformen de viste - noen arter var mer langstrakte, mens andre var flate og skivelignende.

The trilobite was MUCH higher quality than I had expected! So much detail, excellent construction, and very soft too! This was a Christmas gift for my son who is a geology/paleontology major and has always loved fossils, esp. trilobites. So it was a fun and unique gift and he thought it was very cool. We were very intrigued by the large selection of your other plushie prehistoric or unusual living creatures. Im sure this will not be our last purchase! Highly recommended if you or the recipient is up for snuggling with a fluffy fossil or weird creature. These certainly are not teddy bears, but they FEEL like they are!

I bought the trilobite and anamalocaris to be used in my Rock Talk. It's far better to demonstrate how anomalocaris had an effect on trilobite evolution when they can incision what it looked like. These are perfect!

A well made soft toy of an animal not often found in such a manner. It was a gift and was very well received. He is called Trilby. I doubt he is the only Trilby.
