Honor kan också flyga, men gör det sällan. Honor är kända för att frigöra feromoner, dock för att hjälpa män när de letar efter sina kompisar.   

❃ Hanhjortar har otroligt stora underkäkar som kan se bekanta ut med hjorthorn. Under parningssäsongen använder hanar dessa horn för att brottas med andra hanar - de tar tag i varandra och kastar varandra till marken. Buggbrottning när den är som bäst.
